Dear LIB Readers: My boyfriend wants to go into politics

I met him a few months ago and we are planning to wed soon. He told me just days ago that he plans to quit his job in a year to pursue his political ambition. I hate politics and I detest politicians. I can't imagine being married to one. I don't know what to do.
