Philip Phillips wins American Idol

21 year old Phillip Phillips was crowned the 11th American Idol yesterday after defeating high school student, 16-year-old Filipino-Mexican-American, Jessica Sanchez. The show's finale held at the at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday evening, May 23 (Thursday morning in Nigeria).

Did he deserve to win? I thought Joshua Ledet was the best singer this season, but I guess to win something like this, you have to have the total package. Congrats to Philip.
