The Inspector General

Top officials of a small provincial town, headed by the Mayor, react with terror to the rumours of the imminent arrival of an ‘incognito' inspector for a town inspection.  A suspicious character is mistaken for the inspector and enjoys the favours of the corrupt officials until the arrival of the real Inspector.
