AFRUCA founder, Debbie Ariyo, appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire

Debbie Ariyo, Founder and Executive Director of AFRUCA – Africans Unite Against Child Abuse has been appointed an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2011 Queen’s Birthday Honours List announced on 11 June 2011 for her services to children and families.

Debbie established AFRUCA in 2001 as a platform for promoting the rights and welfare of African children in the UK.
